The world’s only International English language test specifically designed for health care professionals which assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment.
OET is recognized by regulatory healthcare boards and councils in Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, US, Ireland, Singapore, Namibia and Ukraine. Many organizations, including hospitals, universities and colleges, are using OET as proof of a candidate’s ability to communicate effectively in a demanding healthcare environment. In addition, OET is recognized by the Australian Department of Home Affairs and Immigration New Zealand for all visa categories where an English test may be required.
The OET test measures your language proficiency through four different components which are Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking with a special emphasis on communication in medical and health professional settings.

Writing | 45 minutes | The Writing subsection is profession-specific and requires candidates to write a letter of reference. |
Speaking | 20 minutes | The Writing subsection is profession-specific and requires candidates to enact a role-play from the healthcare environment. |
